Del browne, guitarist and singer with LittleRock, riffing for twenty five years and still with plenty of energy for more! Teasing and Caressing Telecasters and Strats is his stock-in-trade, a gunslinging guitarist driving LittleRock like a Jag’s engine, pedal to the plate til he gets to the required destination. Taking LittleRock to the Crossroads is his sole aim.
His preferred route, well, 66 of course. He wrote many of the LittleRock originals playing across the States, travelling from Louisiana to British Columbia, New Orleans up to Vancouver, trading busking licks with Mustafa and assorted mad dogs in Jackson’s square and the French Quarter, New Orleans in the mid-day sun; drinks and tips with the saloon girls and honky tonk women on the long haul up through Texas; and chilling and coasting with riffs and butts through lazy, hazy California.
The final push, Greyhound through Oregon and Washington provided more food for songs, switchblade riffs and sweet addictions, with the burden of proof finally being laid to rest across the borderline. Naming the band in homage to the LittleRock Nine out of Arkansas, del lit the blue touchpaper to the purest of rock n roll bands…. chuck berry riffs, broken bottle-neck slide, nile rodgers funk, keef richard licks and slick littlerock kicks. This band, and del, were Born to search for those Bloodlines and Born to Boogie.
